U.S.Stocks Finish Lower on Recovery Concerns

Stocks continued their recent swoon Monday as questions lingered about the strength of the global economic recovery following last week's spate of poor economic data.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 61 points, or 0.5%, at 12,090. The S&P 500 declined by 14 points, or 1.1%, to 1286 and the Nasdaq Composite was off by 30 points, or 1.11%, at 2703.
The Dow has dropped for five straight weeks, losing 5.2% in that span. The weekly losing streak represents the blue-chip index's longest such negative stretch since late July 2004.
